I'm pretty tired from sitting on my a$$ and watching football all day so this is going to be relatively brief. The Bengals delivered an... hmm whats the word... okay... f*cking ugly performance. Too many penalties. Too many broken plays. It was just an ugly overall game, but now that we've got that out of the way it's time to celebrate the win and AFC North Division Championship. Lets remember that the AFC Championship game last season was made up of two teams from the the division the Bengals just won. Say what you want about their recent performances, but securing a home playoff game (which we did today) is huge and should not be over-looked. Now we just have to let the Jets beat us next weekend so that Shitsburgh misses the playoffs. A huge Cintucky congrats to the Bengals players, coaching staff, front office, and fans. Except for Bratkowski and Mike Brown. You two can eat sh*t.
The Kentucky Football Wildcats took the field in Nashville tonight against a familiar foe, the Clemson Tigers. Unfortunatley, unlike 3 years ago, the Cats came up a bit short this year. Clemson was the better team tonight though, and deserved the win. CJ Spiller is a man, and although I think a healthy UK squad matches up quite well against the Tigers.. that just wasn't the case tonight. Big Congrats to Coach Brooks and his staff for an amazing job well done this year. This team was inches away from a couple more huge wins, and it is now easy to see that UK will be a factor in the SEC in years to come. Give us one more year Papa Brooks!!!!
In other football notes:
- The Colts lost their first game this season. The Jets took down the previous undefeated Peyton Mannings after Sir Manning left the game in the 3rd quarter up 15-10.
- Coach Strong appears to be safe at Louisville. There has been some rumblings and rumors about Florida coming after Strong given the recent Meyer activities. As for right now they are exactly that... rumors. No need to worry, Cards fans.
Thats all I have for now. Hopefully you guys enjoyed todays games as much as I did. Greg will by early this week to provide his always impressive insight on the weekend that happened. Assuming he makes it out of BumF*ck Kentucky safely that is. Run from the banjo music brother.
