Bigfoot sighted at the Swamp, Scores 17 - Cats still win 89-77

By: Evan from Evansville

Well, I wish Greg hadn't deleted my game preview because it was pretty much dead on. The Cats pull out another tough one, this time in Gainesville. Bledsoe and Wall ran like stallions, and Florida's strategy of shooting from the 4-pt line came up short. The Cats threw out a balanced attack yet again with 47 points between Wall, Patterson, and Cousins, the star of the evening was Eric Bledsoe who absolutely went off for 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 3's. That is a Kobeesque line in a college game.

That being said, I'm just going to make a few points.

  • Daniel Orton needs some more attitude. Practice this week should just be watching old Dikembe Mutombo videos.

  • Did you notice how little Dicky V talked about Billy Donovan? John Calipari has that effect on announcers.

  • Can this team be pressed? Florida's full court press was tame, but if anything, it allowed a few transition opportunities. This is like the cool side of the pillow after a 2 years of having Michael Porter bumble upcourt.

  • Ppat didn't come up 'short' on any dunks this game.

  • Great game for Darius Miller. He can be tentative, but you can tell he's an unselfish guy who just wants to win. He stepped up with some big shots tonight.

  • Have you seen a more awkward hairline than Alex Tyus'? Not even mine or Reinhart's....

  • Bold statement: If Bledsoe plays like this, UK can go undefeated. This may be the biggest story of the night. Few people have talked about his ankle injury, but he hasn't been right since the opener. Tonight he had a burst that he hasn't had all year.

Great Game! Next up, Auburn.

Update: Ravi Moss' facebook status after the game:

Ravi Moss Is that Florida dude tyus serious with those braids??? Give it up brotha. Haha
